Styx Killion
Styx Killion was born in 1973. He began teaching himself the art of tattooing in 1991. Styx opened his first Tattoo studio, “Reigning Color” in Normal, Illinois in September of 1995. He owned and operated Reigning Color until 1999, when he decided to open a new studio, also in Normal, that he would call “Styx Underground.” A year after opening Styx Underground, he packed up and moved to Las Vegas. Styx worked at a few tattoo studios while in Vegas with a wide variety of artists where he learned many new styles and techniques. In Las Vegas, Styx also learned everything about health care standards, and about the proper sanitation techniques which he still utilizes every day.
In 2001 Styx moved to Springfield, Missouri. He worked for Miller Cotton for about a year, again learning as much as possible. He went on to open Rad-A-Tattoo and operated that studio for about a year. Then, he was off to Cleveland Ohio to work at Finest Lines. Styx has worked at many tattoo studios and done guest spots in several locations. Working in numerous parts of the country has given styx an extremely wide imagination and range in his ability to tattoo many various styles. Styx loves to work and compete in conventions and has won a multitude of awards and been featured in tattoo magazines. Styx loves all art mediums and has too many influences to list. That puts Styx Killion HERE, at Styx Unlimited Tattoo Emporium, Springfield Illinois. Styx Unlimited opened in December 2006. He has 3 children, is buying a house here in Springfield, and it is safe to say, that Styx is here to stay! So come kick it with Styx on Route 66!
Lonnie Scoggins
Lonnie Scoggins began teaching himself tattooing in 1985. He worked in construction while also tattooing on the side from his home studio. In 1993 Lonnie opened The Body Shop in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Six months later, in 1994 after commuting to Indiana from Illinois He decided to open a second Body Shop in Springfield, IL. Lonnie owned and operated the shop for 11 years until 2002. He closed the doors and tattooed from home while remodeling what use to be The Body Shop. The Body Shop was gutted, remodeled and re-opened under the name Hellacious Ink in January 2006. Lonnie owned and operated Hellacious for 2 years until 2008. He decided that he didn’t want to be the shop owner anymore, and strictly be a bad-ass tattoo artist. He began looking for work in March of 2010. Most of the established artists in Springfield have worked for Lonnie at some point in time and burnt their bridge with him. So he was very pleased to join the Styx Unlimited team where he continues to put out stunning tattoos every day.

April began teaching herself the art of tattooing in 1999. She later became interested in body piercing as well and decided to pursue this profession. In 2004 she took an apprenticeship under Josh Kellogg while continuing to prosper in tattooing. Along with being self taught in tattooing, April gives credit to Styx, and the late Ogar, for teaching and influencing her in different styles of tattooing.
April joined the Styx Unlimited team December of 2006. Today she has a passion for both tattooing and body piercing. She enjoys piercings with “shock value” and color tattoos from realism to fantasy.
Jeff Puckett
(Jeff) Puckett brings a distinguishable angle to his tattoo work. Specializing in small writing, custom tribal and full color; Jeff executes tattoos that many artists refuse to attempt due to the precision and steady hand required to make small lettering stay clearly viewable in the skin. Puckett has been tattooing for 15 years, he began tattooing in 1995 and opened his own studio, Gemini Tattoo & Body Piercing in 1996 in Hillsboro, IL. Jeff owned and operated Gemini for 8 years until 2004 when he decided to take a break. He started up again a year later, operating under his legal name from his home studio. In April of 2010 Jeff joined the team at Styx Unlimited Tattoo Emporium in Springfield Illinois. He currently lives in Nokomis, Illinois, is engaged, and is a father to eight wonderful step children.
